The kick off meeting for the project “Youth Alternarration: Combating Radicalization of Young People in Online Spaces” took place in Brussels on 20th of March 2018.
The project main aim is to increase capacity of youth organizations to combat violent radicalization in the online sphere, by developing methodological approaches and tools that will support their work in inspiring young people create positive online content and recognize potential danger. The project showcases the utilization of digital tools in prevention work with young vulnerable people. It will be based on a synergy between Youth Organization, Social Enterprise, International Organization and Regional Authority in order to increase the quality and relevance of youth work, and support youth workers to fully embrace digital era, as part of their work. This project is enhancing media literacy, (particularly to youth workers and vulnerable young people) focusing on the use of the Internet and social media, ultimately supporting young people to develop resistance to discrimination and indoctrination.
The project partners are Peshkar (UK), CID (Macedonia) and Out of the Box International. The project is funded by Erasmus + Programme.
