From the 4th to 11th of November Out of the Box International delivered the Training Course ‘Youth Advocating for Social Inclusion Policies’ in Brussels, Belgium. The event gathered 16 youth and social workers from various organizations in order to develop their competences in advocacy and lobbying and empower them to plan and implement effective initiatives.
The programme included sessions on Social Inclusion Policies, Policy Development in Youth Sector, Advocacy Campaign Development, Representation of marginalised groups, etc. Participants have also visited European Youth Forum and the European Parliament which was a unique opportunity to get acquainted firsthand with some relevant European policy development processes.
As an outcome participants developed ‘Guidelines for Inclusive Youth Policies’, a set of specific instructions for NGOs and policy makers on how to develop accessible and inclusive policies for ensuring participation of young people and involvement of marginalised groups.
