Out of the Box International is happy to announce some good news! Two new projects were approved for funding this productive autumn!
First of all, Out of the Box International (Belgium), together with partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Albania, Poland, Montenegro and Serbia has successfully applied for the “EUropean Collective nArratives for Reconciliation and trauma hEaling through youth engagement and Storytelling – EU-CARES” project within the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of Youth call for proposals. The EU-CARES project aims to address collective trauma and support the reconciliation process among young people from war-affected countries through storytelling techniques fostering active participation, constructive dialogue and critical thinking. The recognition of different narratives and the creation of new collective ones as a holistic method for fostering youth engagement, esp. among displaced youth, will raise the capacity of youth CSOs to mainstream peace-building best practices.
Furthermore, as a partner, OTB International has also been approved for the EUNITE! EU Citizens Unite and Promote the European Project proposal together with partners from Italy (coordinator), Greece, Croatia, France and Belgium. EUNITE is a citizen-centred project aimed at empowering EU citizens and boosting civic participation at local, national and EU levels, including at the next EU Parliament election in 2024. The project will implement a series of events for citizens of five EU countries from different age groups and social backgrounds, allowing participants to experience first-hand democratic processes such as dialogue, communicative exchange and opinion-building, debating and finding compromises. The project has been approved under the EU’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV).
Stay tuned for more good news coming soon…
