We kicked off another amazing project related to Youth Work in Novi Sad on the 9th of January, 2023. The project The Blockchained Youth Work will bring refreshment to the youth work field by developing innovative digital solutions that will be applicable beyond the youth sector and youth work by providing a common language and value base. It aims to legitimize the work done in the youth sector, enhance the quality of educational practices, and support the experience that youth workers do for society through innovation. The idea was born based on the analysis of the youth work forms and the valorization and recognition of youth work in the partner countries. Partners have noticed that youth workers are often marginalized and invisible in society in terms of their positive work and impact on society and are determined to address this to make youth work more recognizable and stronger.
Objectives of the project
- Create a quality framework for educational practices in the field of youth
- Pilot the innovative platform based on blockchain technology for the validation, recognition, quality assurance and supply of youth work-relevant learning outcomes
- Advocate for the quality of youth work at the national, regional and EU level
Alongside working on all project results, OTB will lead the ADVOCACY FOR THE QUALITY OF YOUTH WORK design that will be done through: a Collection of national key issues in partner countries related to youth work recognition and validation – current state analysis; Creating recommendations for 4 national advocacy plans; Creating recommendations for the EU advocacy plan and Creating a quality advocacy plan and follow up activities plan.
Stay tuned as we will bring more news on the work done.
The project is implemented by 6 partners: Croatian Youth Network (MMH) (Croatia), Out of the Box International (Belgium), National Youth Council of Slovenia (Slovenia), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Österreichische Kinder und Jugendertretung verein (Austria), National association of youth workers (Serbia).
