The Climate Box dissemination event took place on the 31st of May 2022 in Lodzkie House, Brussels, Belgium gathering adult educators, training providers, NGO and CSO as well as European Commission representatives. The project was presented with a special focus on the Intellectual outputs (O1 Report – Collection of good practice and Qualitative interviews with educational and social professionals; O2: Climate Box: Training materials; O3: Open Badge for climate education; O4: Guidance publication). Along with participants sharing some practices and personal experiences in adult education, climate-related topics were discussed. The UnBoxing competition raised awareness about climate-related topics, issues and facts trough gamification, and the event was closed with a networking momentum.
The Climate Box project’s aim is to offer resources and tools that are easy to understand for everyone, and are applicable to daily life. Empowering trainers and providing them with climate change learning materials specifically designed for adult learners is one more objective of this project. Furthermore, the project sets to raise awareness of climate change and its impact on society and livelihoods and train adults through 60 learning micro-units, which adult educators can easily integrate into their courses to raise climate awareness and motivate participants to have a greener lifestyle.
We are approaching the end of the project, and we are excited to share all the results soon.
