The MC-YOU project is reaching its final and most exciting stage: the European Conference in Brussels on 23 October 2025, which will bring together municipalities, youth organisations, researchers and policymakers to discuss new ways of engaging young people in shaping sustainable, resilient cities.
Throughout the past two years, MC-YOU has put in place and tested an innovative youth-led policy process using Minecraft as a creative tool for youth engagement in resilient urban planning. The project has engaged over 400 young people, alongside local authorities and civil society, in designing solutions for real urban challenges.
The Brussels conference will present project achievements, showcase winning Minecraft models from pilot cities, and open a forward-looking policy dialogue on youth participation in sustainable urban development. Participants will exchange lessons learned, connect across regions, and explore how the MC-YOU model can be scaled and adapted in future contexts.
Stay tuned for the full agenda and registration details. Let’s build resilient cities together – block by block!
The project is currently jointly implemented by 8 partners: Network partners OTB (Belgium), UBC (Poland), Piloting cities (Faro, Riga, Sandanski), Youth stakeholder partners YEPP (Germany/Europe), CESIE (Italy) and quality assurance partner LINK (Italy).
The 24-month project has been funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
