At its core, Skills4Retail envisions a future where the retail industry undergoes a ‘Triple Transition’ involving Green, Digital, and Resilience. OTB and its partners are dedicated to supporting retailers as they adapt to the digital age, embrace e-commerce, and establish sustainable business models right from the outset. The ultimate objective of the project is to create a Retail Skills Strategy and VET Training Programme that squarely addresses the urgent skills demands in Digital, Green, and Resilience.
The demand for specialized digital and green skills is rising, and current education and training programs aren’t keeping up. We recognize the pressing need to bridge this skills gap promptly. Our mission is to catalyze a fresh Retail Skills Strategy that rapidly equips existing retail employees, managers, students, professionals from diverse sectors, and even the unemployed, with the essential expertise. We’re collaborating closely to conceive, craft, execute, and share this innovative strategy and VET Training Programme, aiming to tackle the skills shortages in the sector.
