The CI YOU (Circular economy youth leaders) LTTA (Learning, Teaching, Training Activity) was hosted by Edufons in Novi Sad on 19-21 October, in the space of “Omladinski savez udruženja OPENS” with participants from Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Serbia and Cyprus.
We gathered and, through training sessions, explored and broadened our knowledge on Mindfulness, Self-Awareness, ICT tools, Self-evaluation, Social Entrepreneurship, Critical thinking and Circular economy. You can see how creative we were here.
When we finished with all the knowledge sharing, we went to see what Circular economy looks like in reality. We have visited a small family shoe and clothing shop that works under this model. We have to say we were amazed by the process, effort and passion that this family dedicates to it. These are not just shoes, that is pure magic. If you like products custom-made with love check what the Bratscher has to offer.
Ah, we didn’t mention some interesting facts that we found out at the training. What would you say is one of the biggest ocean polluters? We bet you would never think of flip-flops. Yes, Earth’s oceans are full of old flip-flops and they make up around 25% of ocean plastic pollution. If you ever wondered What *REALLY* happens to ‘Recycled’ Glass?! Check the video here.
If you are interested in more information about the project, let us know. Until then, recycle, reuse and reduce.
